WHAT WE MEAN BY DEEP TRAVEL
Since antiquity, traveling has been an indomitable desire that has driven mankind to discover itself. Getting to know new places, new cultures, and new people has always been the means of understanding what makes us and others different, our own traditions but perhaps most of all, understanding oneself.
We are very much aware that traveling and tourism nowadays can have a negative impact on a wide range of elements, notably environmental and cultural impoverishment. However, there are ways of discovering a country while ensuring a healthy balance between our social, economical and environmental impact, and not just to put forward greenwashing trends. As professionals of the sector we realise that in order to craft memorable moments, there is no better way than working as a small scale company with direct contact with all our travellers and providers and building real bonds between all of them.
Our trips focus on the human side of traveling. We make sure you’ll meet the local producers, artisans, artists or farmers and all the fascinating people that make a region more than a simple destination.
We also pay attention to the means of transport we use in getting around. To this end, we try to favor active and light models of transportation. Your entire experience changes when you enter a small village in Andalucia on a horse or on a bicycle rather than in a bus. We really want your ecological footprint to be positive and to contribute to the local economy, this is why we choose all our partners according to those values.
This is also the reason why we only work on a custom-made model and high quality standards. We believe that our work is to be the artisans of your trips, so the better we know you, the better we will be able to design your experience.
